About

Welcome to Honey on the Wind!

I’m Holly Johnson, a Jersey girl who transplanted herself to the western United States to attend college and never went back. Now a longtime Colorado gal, I live and write where the mountains end and the prairie begins.

I’m a communicator. A creative. A coach. My varied backgrounds in journalism, pastoral studies, and personal training form the foundation and framework of this blog.

And it’s a fledgling blog. It was a long time coming, but thanks to some persistently encouraging friends (and my even more persistent mom), I finally took the plunge into blogdom.

What will you find here? A variety of complementary topics, presented through an artsy lens. You’ll find posts on my journey with Jesus — through infertility, unemployment, medical challenges, and other “curve balls of life.” On finding beauty in unexpected places. On finding hope through the longest, darkest winter. On the role and importance of fitness as part of daily living. And because life is too short to not have a sense of humor, you may even find some quirky haiku poetry.

With that in mind, thanks for reading! I hope and pray these thoughts and insights will help you grow and blossom on your own journey.
